The first record I ever bought on Noise Patch Records. There would be more, and it would become somewhat of an obsession. I’ll delve into that mystery in another post.
The first song on this record was also on the Shreds Volume 1 CD. There’s one other original and a cover of Dion and the Belmonts.
Hanging By A Thread is one of those songs I could* listen to a thousand times in a row and it wouldn’t** get old.
I wish I knew more about this band, but about the only thing I know is that before they were For Sale, they were called Dead Lazlo’s Place, who appeared on a bunch of comps and had a few singles, of which I’ve heard zero.
And I have a sneaking suspicion that after For Sale, at least one member went on to be in Buford, who absolutely rule and will be coming up in this space very soon. The Buford/Sleepasaurus split 7″ has two of my favorite pop punk songs ever. EVER.
If you’re reading this and you or someone you know was in the band or connected to Noise Patch, please have them get in touch with me. Would love to chat more about their music.
So, without much more to say about this, here you go.
